- Millia are raised hard white spots usually found on the face. They start quite small and well under the skin.
- They can develop into much larger raised white spots which cannot be removed by normal extraction methods.
- They are often remove by millia needles but this leaves the skin damaged, torn and bleeding, therefore open to infection.
- By using the diathermy current it is possible to easily remove the millia, but without excessive trauma to the area.
